Background
Even a short jail sentence can be enormously destabilizing for inmate and their families. Throughout incarceration, meeting obligations can become “excessively burdensome” or otherwise difficult to achieve. The more complex the case, the more inmates and their families are prone to experience DEPRIVATION and SUFFERING for one or more parties.
